45 minutes tonight.
12 min – warm-ups, stretches, squats, leg raises.
8 min SNT against the door jam with block.
16 min – Chum Kiu reps through section 3. Not sure why, but releasing the arms after the double toy saos and before the double bong saos just don’t feel relaxed. It feels like I’m MAKING them fall rather than LETTING them fall.
9 min – Mook Jong reps in the air, #10 and #20.

55 minutes tonight.
14 min – warm-ups, stretches, squats, leg raises.
11 min – one slow SNT outside during sunset. Very nice. Try sunrise next time!
17 min – Chum Kiu reps – first three sections. Still feel like I am moving my arms down from the double tan sao rather than relaxing out of it.
So, I did 2 minutes of “releases” with the small focus pad between my funny bones. Didn’t feel any different.
Then I got out a roll of sparring tape and for 3 more minutes, I put one hand out in tan sao and dropped the sparring tape onto my palm. At first the tape was just bouncing off my hand, but after about 25 tries, the tape was no longer bouncing. It was simply rolling down my my fingertips onto the counter. It was fascinating to see how things changed. But the million dollar question is “Is this moving me in the right direction?” Going to ask Sifu.
8 min – Mook Jong reps in the air, #10 and #20.
