  • Classes Meet Twice a Week (8 Classes Per Month)

Kids classes meet twice a week. They learn traditional Wing Chun knowledge, moves, terms, concepts, quotes and even philosophy for their monthly tests. After successfully passing their test, kids recieve a rank upgrade (sash or stripe). We have 12 sashes and 3 stripes on each sash.

  • Siu Nim Tao (Sil Lim Tao)

Kids learn Wing Chun's first and most important form (Siu Nim Tao) as taught by Sifu Adam Williss. This includes the specific details of all three sections of Siu Nim Tao broken down with the high quality standards of The Dragon Institute.

  • Wing Chun Positions and Structure

Step-by-step explanations specifically for kids to understand Wing Chun postures and structure. Kids learn the importance of details and how everything in Wing Chun comes from position and structure.

  • Wing Chun Dummy Form

Kids learn the Ip Man's original Wing Chun wooden dummy form including both handwork and footwork. They learn how to practice on the dummy and how to move from one position to the next. They are then placed on a systematic program which increases their muscle memory to dummy postures and strings of moves. (There is no wooden dummy required. Most kids practice the dummy form in the air).

  • Simultaneous Attack & Defense Applications

Wing Chun is known for its simultaneous attack and defense. Kids learn how to apply this including both handwork and footwork in order to move with certainty and efficiency.

  • Martial Arts Philosophy

Kids learn the philosophy behind being a martial artist and dedicating themselves to a warrior's lifestyle. They are taught discipline, respect, focus, perseverance, integrity and more. Using empowering concepts from great martial artists and leaders, Kids are taught the meanings behind the quotes of great martial artists and leaders like Bruce Lee, Ip Man, Mohammad Ali and Martin Luther King Jr.
