We believe that the fists and hands are your primary weapon system in a fight. And that they can be used quite effectively in realistic situations to walk away successfully (with all your teeth).
And yes…
The dirty tricks of boxing that can’t be used in the ring are included, too. Not for the faint of heart, our boxing has no limitations
So what kind of boxing do we teach?
- Boxing meant to help you defend yourself against bigger, stronger opponents
- Boxing for realistic hand-to-hand combat (a fight without rules)
- Boxing as a practical martial art, not a competitive sport
- Boxing without gloves (striking with bareknuckle fists and open hand palm strikes)
- Boxing that includes kicks, elbow strikes, knee strikes and headbutts.
What Type of Boxing Do you Teach?
People call what we do many things. That’s why its so difficult to label.
Here’s a few of the names…

But its important not to get hung up on a name. Most people get so hung up on names that they limit themselves from effectiveness. Our approach to boxing is meant to free people from the limitations that surround names and labels.
For the sake of simplicity, we just call what we do Dragon Family Wing Chun. However, if you feel the name limits you, then forget about it. After all, it’s just a name; don’t fuss over it.
Just know that we teach boxing for realistic fighting, not for sport. Our type of boxing also has elements of traditional martial arts in it, but is not bound by it. It is very much for modern fighting against all types of threats.
To be bound by traditional martial art style or styles is the way of the mindless, enslaved martial artist. But to be inspired by the traditional martial art and to achieve further heights is the way of genius. -Bruce Lee
